The key responsibilities and duties of the Material Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure on-time material availability with minimal logistics costs.
  • Support Central MML by clarifying requests and identifying local alternatives.
  • Build supplier partnerships to reduce costs and lead times.
  • Ensure approved alternatives align with customer agreements.
  • Optimize inventory usage, review requisitions, and manage subcontracting activities.
  • Source products, negotiate pricing, and draft contracts.
  • Identify critical items and communicate with Central MML and Logistics.
  • Support compliance reporting and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate material returns and provide updates in meetings.
  • Perform purchasing, technical tasks, and personnel training as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities and company procedures.

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Technical/aviation background (university degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance and overhaul (preferred).
  • Knowledge of logistics processes (planning, purchasing, warehouse, transport).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
  • Assertive, adaptable, and able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in IT, with SAP and Excel skills preferred.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.
  • Project management experience and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, adaptable, and capable of delivering status reports.
