The Component Engineer’s main duty is to manage all technical aspects of our components, including the related data and documentation, with the goal to optimize reliability and costs. The role of the Component Engineer requires commercial understanding and close collaboration with other departments.
- Manages the lifecycle of components, including assessment of technical documentation, maintenance of component-related data, monitoring of reliability, and determining actions to increase component performance;
- Defines standards for component maintenance and the scope of component repairs/ overhauls;
- Plans and oversees component shop visits, overhaul programs, and modification campaigns;
- Provides other departments with consultancy on technical issues;
- Liaises with OEMs and vendors;
- Performs commercial evaluation of repairs, overhaul, and modification campaigns in close collaboration with procurement;
- Defines and continuously improves processes for the cost-effective management of the component category assigned.

We are looking for an engineer with a strong business mindset and communication skills. Ideally, the candidate has CAMO/ MRO Engineering experience. Depending on the candidate’s skills and experience, a specialization in mechanical system, avionics & electrical, or structural components is possible.

- Higher educational degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or completed vocational training and several years of professional experience, enhanced with further technical/commercial degree
- Good knowledge of aircraft systems and EASA Continuing Airworthiness requirements is an advantage
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications
- Experience in the use of AMOS (or a similar MRO software) is an asset
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English (German is an advantage)
- Familiar to work self-organized in an interdisciplinary environment
