As Component Engineer responsible for the APUs of our fleet, your main task is to maintain the airworthiness, safety, and reliability of that component. The role requires commercial understanding and close collaboration with various technical and commercial departments.
The Component Engineer with responsibility for the APU:
- Ensures the compliance of the APU fleet with continuing airworthiness requirements;
- Manages the lifecycle of APUs, including assessment of technical documentation, maintenance of system data, monitoring of reliability, and determining actions to increase APU performance;
- Defines standards for maintenance and the scope of repairs/ overhauls;
- Plans and oversees shop visits;
- Collaborates with the TechOps team to provide maintenance support;
- Supports in the management of other component categories;
- Liaises with OEMs and vendors;
- Performs commercial evaluation of repairs and overhauls in close collaboration with procurement;
- Defines and continuously improves processes for the cost-effective management of the APU fleet.

We are looking for an engineer with a strong business mindset and communication skills. Ideally, the candidate has experience in CAMO/ MRO Engineering and APU/ powerplant maintenances. **Apply to Component Engineering APU or Component Engineering, not both, to streamline the application process.**
- Higher educational degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or completed vocational training coupled with several years of professional experience and enhanced with further technical degree
- Good knowledge of aircraft systems, powerplants and/or the APU and EASA Continuing Airworthiness requirements is an advantage
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications
- Experience in the use of AMOS (or a similar MRO software) is an asset
- Strong analytical skills paired with solution- and aim-oriented thinking and acting
- Good verbal and written communication/presentation skills in English (German is an advantage)
- Familiar to work self-organized in an interdisciplinary environment
- Proactive and open-minded
