Your main tasks include, among others:
- Plan and handle difficult flights, e.g. but not limited to passenger acceptance, weight/balance, below the wing operation
- Take on support and guidance in particularly difficult cases
- Regularly check and ensure the adherence to LHG-service standards
- Check the performance of LHG-personnel and handling agents relating to adherence to time-, quality- and safety standards
- Ensure that the employee-capacity is used to its best advantage and in a balanced way during the shift
- Carry out briefings/debriefings and operational instructions
- Ensure that all measures are taken to guarantee a smooth operational procedure
- Carry out spot-checks of work processes and work quality and suggests procedural changes
- Coordinate between the tasks during the shift where and when necessary
- Issue shift reports regarding irregularities and complaints
- Carry out accounting/produce monthly report
- Participate in projects and tasks beyond own job responsibilities
- Carry out any other operational and/or administrative duties reasonably assigned by the superior
The ideal Station Supervisor Lufthansa Group should meet the following requirements:
- Intermediate-level school education
- Completed vocational training in the commercial field or service industry
- 2-3 years of station-service with emphasis on operations and/or check-in and above average performance
- Management experience desirable
- Numeracy
- Excellent knowledge of English written and spoken; native according to country
- Knowledge of German desirable
- Good general education
- Driving license
- PC skills
- Diligent and systematic approach to work
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Desire to give excellent service
- Sales and negotiation skills, confident manner
- Ability to make ad-hoc decisions
- Suitable for shift work
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to deal with conflict
- Good sociable and cooperative conduct
