The MRO Project Manager's main tasks are:

  • Completing landing gear overhaul events on time and on budget.
  • To maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the progress of overhaul events and direct responsible parties to ensure that the event progress is in line with company and customer interest.
  • Ensure complete customer contract fulfilment on events.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with the Engineering team.
  • Support in coordinate schedule changes with the Planning team.
  • Provide feedback regarding the overhaul event status to the Account Manager (e.g. planned delivery, scrap material, cost) and Customer Support Specialist.
  • Track and report the cost of each event compared to budget and define countermeasures if necessary.
  • Participate in and/or arrange Event status meetings.
  • Review margin sheets and report profitability of each overhaul event after completion.
  • Initiate actions/projects to improve the overall profitability and follow-up on implementation with responsible parties.
  • Manage post job event completion reviews and scoring systems.
  • Work closely with the Billing & Finance Department.

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in the Aerospace industry desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Experience working with technical records or airline CAMO / part management processes. Ideally, the candidate shall be from MRO background.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to analyse figures and financial reviews.
  • Have the ability to read and understand customer contracts / specification and put in place action plans for contract adherence.
  • Good IT skills with the use of standard Microsoft packages. Proven experience of using MRP / ERP data systems (SAP / AMOS etc.)
  • Self-motivated, driven and ambitious.
  • Representational abilities in terms of corporate/commercial awareness – face to face contact.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Analytical approach to work.

  • Outgoing personality.
  • Innovative approach to management skills.
