The internship is split between two different departments.
In the People & Development (HR) department we manage training needs & people development, change management as well as the further development of our corporate culture. Your tasks may include the following:
- Contribute to the usage & establishment of electronic performance management & talent visibility tools
- Serve as interface between Lufthansa Airlines & the European headquarters
- Support in planning, scheduling & delivering people concepts & special projects
The Crisis Management department prepares & trains employees to assist in case of emergency:
- Support Crisis Management in coordinating meetings, conferences and events (mainly workshops & trainings)
- Maintain the Crisis Management volunteer database, online platform & emergency notification system
Special Project Management in reference to social impact:
- Develop engagement of employee in social impact events
- Opportunity to develop programs for local non-profit organizations
* All other duties as assigned or required
To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:
- Studies in psychology, business administration, social sciences or other related studies
- 2 semesters completed before the start of the internship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing and able to handle emotionally demanding Emergency Response topics
- Ability to work independently and under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and self-organization
- Ability to handle different projects simultaneously
- Good knowledge of MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English language
- International experience preferred, but not required
- Must possess work authorization in Germany and fulfill all criteria to get a J-1 visa for the U.S, or have a work-permit for the U.S.
