You will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain regular contact and build networks with parliamentary staff in Germany and Brussels, EU Member State representatives, government agencies, associations, press, and media
  • Monitor and assess communication from EU institutions, evaluating relevance for LHG, political, and reputational risks
  • Brief board members on corporate policy topics, including preparing speeches, correspondence, and communication for decision-makers
  • Develop and distribute press releases, social media posts, and professional position papers
  • Represent LHG in relevant working groups and meetings
  • Plan and host events, campaigns, presentations, lectures, and panels

You  should meet the following requirements:

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent, ideally in politics, law, European studies, economics, journalism, or communications
  • Solid background in communications, journalism, politics, or within EU institutions or government services
  • Strong understanding of the EU and German legislative processes, as well as a grasp of economics and politics
  • C2 level in both German and English (native or near-native), with a third language as a plus
  • Credible, professional, with a confident and polished demeanor
  • Skilled at simplifying and conveying complex ideas, with an exceptional flair for language and writing
  • Able to craft compelling presentations and clear briefings
  • Capable of thinking across divisions and seeing the bigger picture
  • Ready for evening functions and frequent travel
