As a team leader of the local duty managers, the Station Manager:

  • is accountable for the safe, secure, economic, punctual and customer orientated planning, execution and continuous assessment of service delivery at the station
  • ensures on behalf of the respective Nominated Persona Ground Operations that all aspects of the ground handling operation are in accordance at all times with safety, security and legal regulations as published in the respective operator’s manuals
  • adapts general processes to local procedures and ensures process loyalty in the local organization
  • ensures a welcoming atmosphere, warm hospitality and personal touch at all points of customer contact with special attention to premium customers, and strives for consistent service improvement
  • ensures that the expectations of all LH Group customers are met or exceeded
  • represents the LHG to all stakeholders and partners

The ideal Station Manager should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required (may be replaced by 5-7 years of work experience in Airline Operations*)
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams of 4 or more members
  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and achieve favorable outcomes
  • Exceptional customer orientation with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support
  • Basic knowledge of labor law and its practical application in a business environment
  • Proactive and forward-thinking approach
  • In-depth knowledge of airline and airport procedures and processes
  • High level of safety and security awareness
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and people
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
