As the Lead of Logistics, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage inventory, facility, warehouse, transportation, and logistics processes
- Develop strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs
- Ensure quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis for process improvements
- Partner, communicate, and negotiate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
- Manage and develop logistics staff
- Create and manage budgets
- Handle customs-related queries and clarification
- Ensure compliance with local customs regulations
- Efficiently manage customs audits
- Monitor export control activities and support risk management
- Identify and communicate with key personnel for training
- Resolve queries from customs authorities, freight forwarders, and customers
- Review purchase requisitions and orders for compliance with company processes and policies
You should meet the following requirements:
- 4-5 years of logistics, warehouse, or transportation experience
- Knowledge of supply chain, inventory, distribution, and management principles
- Must have prior experience with adhering to customs regulations and compliance in the UAE
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic language skills
- Proficiency in MS-Office, SAP GTS, and web control Inventory management system
- Shouls possess knowledge of freight movements via air, sea, and land
- Proficient in aircraft parts and US export control regulations
- Familiarity with dangerous goods regulations
- Ability to manage, coach, and train direct reports
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
- Good planning, time management, and organizational skills
- Proactive, innovative, and able to handle pressure
- Excellent communication, presentation, and assertiveness skills
- Willingness to travel and participate in various projects
