We are seeking a highly skilled Monitoring Engineer with expertise in Icinga2 and its ecosystem to design, implement, and maintain a robust infrastructure monitoring solution.

 

  • Design, implement, and manage the monitoring infrastructure using Icinga2 and its components (Icinga Web, Icinga Director, etc.).
  • Configure alerting rules and notification systems to ensure that the appropriate stakeholders are informed of critical issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline monitoring processes, including the onboarding of new systems and services.
  • Write and configure custom plugins in python, bash/golang and checks for Icinga2 to monitor specific applications, services, and infrastructure components.
  • Optimize the performance and scalability of the Icinga2 environment as the company grows, including load balancing and high-availability setups.
  • Work with cross-functional Platform teams to define monitoring requirements and implement solutions.

Working in LHIND

  • University Degree in ICT related fields
  • Proven experience in configuring and managing Icinga2 and related components (Icinga Web 2, Icinga Director, Icinga DB, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of common monitoring protocols and standards such as SNMP, HTTP(s), TCP/IP, and NRPE.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, or PowerShell, Golang to develop custom monitoring scripts and automate tasks.
  • Solid experience with Linux/Unix system administration, including troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with Grafana or other visualization tools for monitoring dashboards and performance graphs.
  • Understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and their integration with Icinga2.
  • Experience with integrating monitoring into CI/CD pipelines
  • Business English
  • Ability to travel
