The General Ledger (GL) Manager will report to the Head of Accounting and Treasury and will be part of the GL team. The team focuses on the accuracy of IFRS and Belgian GAAP GL accounts in order to provide adequate reporting to management and stakeholders.
The GL Manager will :
- Perform closing tasks such as calculation, booking, reconciliation and clearing of general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate way.
- Participate as an auditor in the annual LHG ICS (Internal Control System)
- Contribute with his/her accounting expertise, playing an essential role during the SAP4HANA implementation and the LHG Finance Transformation Program, by guaranteeing that the new software and way of working comply with Belgian GAAP statutory requirements.
- Lead accounting projects in order to deal with new company activities or efficiency projects.
- Be the point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding the assigned areas of responsibility
- Chartered accountant in Belgium
- Experience in both Belgian Statutory accounting and IFRS
- Experience in a complex international accounting environment
- Experience in leading projects
- Overall minimum 5 years of business experience
