Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Receive complex customer requests for worldwide time critical transport and emergency logistic services
  • Follow up on proposals and thereafter be responsible for a smooth handling and execution of the booked transports
  • Identify the customers’ individual requirements and needs using strong communication skills
  • Provide our customers with very individualized and tailor-made transport solutions within a limited time frame
  • Support the sales team by being the single and operational point of contact for our key account customers
  • Give guidance to new colleagues on solving irregularities and the steps to be taken if these take place
  • Create handover protocols and communicate irregularities at end of shift towards other worldwide customer service teams

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree desirable
  • 1+ year in logistics or freight forwarding (life science industry preferred)
  • Experience in Life Science Logistics, Pharma Supply Chain or temperature-controlled transport a plus
  • Strong knowledge of logistics flows and operational processes required
  • Airfreight knowledge desirable
  • Fluent in English; one additional language preferred (German, Dutch, French, or Spanish)
  • Expert computer skills; MS Office/MS Windows experience
  • Strong stress management and customer service skills
  • Able to work under time pressure, in shifts, and on weekends
  • Legal U.S. work permit and valid driver’s license required
