Responsible to the Manager for aircraft maintenance planning, job cards, and coordination with customers, ONE Production System (OPS), and OPE. Acts as planning contact for departments, supports project improvement via performance analysis, and works with Production on KPIs.

  • Coordinate with OPE Central and local sites pre-/post-layover
  • Clarify technical issues with customer during layovers
  • Support jobcard handling and document preparation
  • Organize special requirements (e.g., check flights, weighing)
  • Review Tech/Cabin Logs and customer requests
  • Monitor execution vs targets, adjust plans as needed
  • Liaise with OPS and certify Planning Statement updates
  • Attend project meetings and provide post-layover reports
  • Implement customer-specific planning needs (e.g., TPM)
  • Drive process improvement and feedback to OPE
  • Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA Part 145
  • Adapt to flexible work hours and occasional travel

  • Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) in Aircraft, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional training in aircraft maintenance with a minimum of five years experience in aircraft maintenance / design / manufacturing environment is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance programs, MPD and aircraft documentation
  • General familiarization course for at least two of the aircraft types maintained in the facility primarily stationed
  • Skilled in interpreting Customer & OEM technical docs
  • Proficient in MS Office (esp. Excel), SAP, and m/jobcard
  • Fluent in English; strong report writing and communication skills
  • Analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
  • Able to work independently, under pressure, and in teams
  • Flexible with work environment and hours
About Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd

Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd. (LTM) was established in 2003 as a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik AG (92%) and Air Malta (8%). The MRO service provider (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul), based at Malta International Airport in Luqa, provides its customers with line and base maintenance services for short haul and long haul aircraft in the Airbus A320/A330/340/350 series. Initially specializing in C Checks and comprehensive aircraft modifications, the company has now significantly expanded its service portfolio following the construction of a 64,000 square meter hangar complex. The spectrum of services offered has grown to encompass extensive maintenance work with wide ranging capabilities including structural and composite fibre repairs, complex testing procedures and comprehensive cabin refits. The 600 strong workforce can work on up to three long haul aircraft or five medium and long haul aircraft at any one time in the new hangar complex, expanded to cater for wide body aircraft. The hangars are used primarily for C Checks and aircraft overhauls. Lufthansa Technik Malta also collaborates with the renowned Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) for the purpose of training and apprenticeship schemes. The strategically favorable location in the Mediterranean region of southern Europe, with its proximity to Africa and to the Arabian Peninsula, gives Lufthansa Technik Malta a special role within the Lufthansa Group. Twenty years after the company's founding and with more than 2,000 checks carried out, the high quality standards, cost efficiency and the shortest possible turnaround times places the Malta facility at the forefront of the MRO industry.
