As a Green Mobility Trainee you work all over the Lufthansa Group on sustainability projects.

  • You will get signed up under a contract with the Lufthansa Group who will guide and support you over the entire traineeship.
  • Design your traineeship according to your main interests and the offered projects.
  • Work on three sustainability projects within 18 months in different departments or LH subsidiaries all over the LH Group.
  • Get first-hand experiences in corporate & start-up environment and a deep-dive into the latest sustainability trends and challenges in the airline industry.
  • Exchange ideas closely with scientific institutions and learn how the latest technologies help us to become more sustainable.
  • Gain key skills needed in the industry to drive sustainable transformation.

SAF - Sustainable Aviation Fuel

A true alternative to fossil fuel and key on our path to CO2-neutral aviation. Various production processes already exist today, others we are supporting in their development to bring to market.

On board, the focus is currently on waste avoidance - the way to avoid single-use plastic as well as aluminum is currently being planned out.

We are looking for people who act responsibly, empathic and ambitious at the same time. People, who are passionate to accelerate sustainable solutions for our airline. People, who are ready to accept the challenges and therefore go the extra mile.

  • Suitable candidates have finished their Master's degree (until the end of September 2025) in business, tech, or any studies related to mobility, transport, and sustainability.
  • Sustainability knowledge or experience is not only a big plus - it is probably your entry ticket to the program. Please be specific about how you gained your knowledge and experience (bachelor thesis, master thesis, university courses, internship, job, etc.).
