Tasks

  • Achieves sales budget targets 
  • Creates rate offers
  • Enters into transportation agreements with customers
  • Identifies and manages opportunities with existing customers
  • Acquires new customers 
  • Performs market & single customer analysis 
  • Organizes and performs sales visits  
  • Organizes customer events
  • Actively pushes the eChannel usage and promotes eAWB
  • Manages capacity agreements 
  • (Re-)Negotiates special rate agreements and LTCs 
  • Develops and sells customer oriented logistic solutions
  • Actively supports the local Customer Segmentation process 
  • Makes quotations for ad hoc pricing requests 
  • Receives and follows up charter requests
  • Arranges ex-works pick-ups
  • Actively pushes the eChannel usage
  • Follows up Spot Quotes
  • Acts as touch point for claims and complaints towards the customer 
  • Participates in local sales events

Requirements

  • Bachelor or technical college degree, ideally in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field – or comparable work experience
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Advanced IT knowledge, preferably including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of all relevant LH Cargo systems
  • Customer Centricity
  • Work independently
  • Used to working in international contexts with remote management
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as strong negotiation skills and assertiveness, are required
  • Excellent knowledge of English is a must
  • Very good knowledge of French
