The Cargo Capacity team oversees the capacity optimization for all intercontinental flights and the road feeder network departing from our Zurich hub. As a Cargo Capacity Optimizer, you will ensure the optimal utilization of cargo capacity across the flights and trucks under your control.
Starting date: December 01, 2026 or upon agreement

Tasks
Ensure efficient cargo utilization through smart capacity decisions, proactive flight monitoring, and close coordination with key stakeholders to secure reliable and optimized operations.
- Optimize the use of flight and truck capacity to ensure efficient utilization
- Review and decide on capacity requests promptly — accepting, rejecting, or offering alternatives based on operational criteria and decision-support tools
- Continuously monitor flights within booking range, re-evaluate capacity assignments, and proactively secure space in case of irregularities
- Prepare and issue flight/truck disposition with loading instructions and all relevant data to maximize flight contribution and efficient use of capacity
- Ensure reliable uplift execution in line with the established cargo priority list
- Act proactively when operational constraints are expected
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth and coordinated capacity planning process

Requirements
We seek a proactive, analytical team player with strong communication skills, IT affinity, and the ability to decide under pressure. Fluency in English, organizational talent, and willingness to work shifts are essential.
- Business degree (KV/Luftverkehrslehre) or higher education
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); basic German is an advantage
- Collaborative team player with a professional attitude toward customers, colleagues, and supervisors
- Strong analytical and numerical problem-solving skills
- Affinity with IT systems and digital tools
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Decision-making ability with a willingness to take responsibility
- Proactive mindset and strong initiative
- Stress-resistant and able to perform under pressure
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to set the right priorities
- Flexibility to work shifts and to take on different functions within the department
