CHF 2,500.- gross per month for Bachelor and Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education students or graduates / CHF 3,000.- gross per month for Master students or graduates
During the course of your internship, you will play an active role in supporting the development of our flight data ecosystem and analytical methodologies, conducting analyses on operational efficiency matters and ultimately drive measures and projects aiming to reduce emissions.
- Collaborate with pilots, engineers and data experts to derive meaningful data-driven insights powering operational efficiency projects and measures.
- Proactively identify opportunities for potential fuel/cost savings and emission reductions.
- Process aircraft recorded & operational data for explorative and visual analytics as well as defining and designing new analytical approaches and methodologies.
- Support efforts to accurately quantify, validate and report the emission impact of operational measures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the continuous documentation, modernization and improvement of data processing, storage, and utilization tasks.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and present results to relevant stakeholders.

We are seeking a motivated and data savvy candidate with a high degree of interest in the operational workings of an airline and aviation as a whole.
- Workload Specification: For this position, a 80-100% workload is preferred.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s students or graduates (Bachelor’s students must have completed at least three semesters) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, IT, Aviation or other related field
- Experience in programming (e.g. R or Python), querying (e.g. SQL) as well as data visualization methods and tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Independent, creative and proactive personality
- A high willingness to learn, openness to new ideas and a high interest in complex issues
- Systematic and structured work approach
- Interest in aviation and the airline industry
- Very good spoken and written English skills
- Very good MS Office skills
